Everything has gone like clockwork here at the Korean Biennale. Not surprising when every event is listed by the minute (you will start your talk at 10:37, and finish at 10:39), but it really was great to see it all come together.

Kim Dae Jung and his entourage in a private showing of the Harp
We have some great video footage of Kim Dae Jung. We'll upload it soon. The whole thing was a bit bizarre, with floodlights from cameras making it virtually impossible to actually play the harp.
I went through the rest of the exhibit and captured some of the other pieces we really liked:
These are beautiful hand-made lights. They're made from the same plastic that is used to make headlamps for cars.
These chandeliers are made from bic pens.
These plant lights are designed for homes in big cities where there is not a lot of natural light.
This is a beautiful light exhibit. Mostly comprised of lighted ping pong balls.
And another shot of Jen's harp :)
After the opening, we headed upstairs to listen to a speech by Kim Dae Jung. It was quite cool actually. This week saw some of the most ground-breaking negotiations with North Korea, and Kim Dae Jung was the architect behind it from the beginning.
While it definitely was interesting, and a great time to hear the speech, to me it sounded more like a grumpy grandfather declaring 'I told you so' to the audience. Including several jabs at President Bush. Ahh... you gotta love it when heads of state put on the gloves.

Of course, the Koreans thought it was a good time for a nap.
